Dr. MacDonald began her medical career as a nurse and later became an Osteopathic Physician after earning her degree from Western University of Health Sciences. She completed her Family Medicine Residency at Presbyterian/St. Luke’s Medical Center in Denver and is board certified in both Family Medicine and Integrative Holistic Medicine.


In 1997, she co-founded one of Fort Collins' first integrative medical clinics and later founded Integrative Center for Health in 2004. Her approach is rooted in functional medicine, a science-based, patient-centered method that addresses the root causes of chronic health issues by considering each patient’s unique genetic, biochemical, and lifestyle factors.
